One Minute Body Sculptures
A digital · sculptural · performative · photographic mini-series inspired by the works of Erwin Wurm
Accessorize invites viewers to interact with small discarded objects to adorn the body. Influenced by surrealism, and manufactured in isolation at home, the compositions allude to jewellery. Bottle caps, beads, paper boxes, glass jars and bits of salt dough are turned into precious decor while the background of the images is edited to appear fictional. This is meant to highlight how as humans we constantly augment reality but most of the changes we cause are ephemeral. Anyone who comes across this series is invited to reflect upon how items influence our perception of space, class and the body. What we hold close and what we hold dear.
